I loved Disney's
Aladdin, its actually my favorite Disney movie of all time. The story, the characters, the songs, etc. All of which were amazing. What about taking all we loved about that movie and changing it? Well, that's what Walden Media is looking to do. Walden Media has brought on Randi Mayem Singer to write a script.
We told you a few weeks ago that she's been tapped for
Big Mama's House 3. The movie will be a buddy comedy called
Gene. Its a modern, contemporary look at the classic story.
Jordan Kerner producing through his Kerner Entertainment company. No cast or start date have been reported, but it sounds like a go. Walden Media has made a name for itself in the industry with hits like
The Chronicles of Narnia films,
Bridge to Terabithia,
The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep,
Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium,
Journey to the Center of the Earth.
