Quickie: Twilight director set for Little Red Riding Hood movie

Catherine Hardwicke has been hired to direct the Leonardo DiCaprio produced, Little Red Riding Hood. As previously mentioned on this blog, it will be a Gothic take on the children's classic. Catherine Hardwicke directed Twilight, but was fired from the sequels because of the conflicts between her and cast members... so say the tabloids. There were some cast members that spoke up and added validity to the story, but nothing was officially released from the studio agreeing or denying. I think Hardwicke is very capable, but we'll have to see the finished product before we can say this was a bad idea to start!
